After a very brief hiatus from their weekly scheduled fights, the UFC is back this Saturday with UFC 179: Jose Aldo versus Chad Mendes 2 for the featherweight title. The fight is live from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at 10pm on PPV, with the prelims live at 8pm on Fox Sports 1 and the early prelims as usual on UFC Fight Pass.
In the co-main event, #4 ranked Glover Teixeira will face #6 ranked Phil Davis in the light heavyweight division. This fight has the ingredients to be explosive. Phil Davis is coming off his loss to Anthony Johnson and is ready to prove that he’s still in the meat of the division.
