West Valley City, Utah – In what could’ve been a tragic event amounted into a 26-year-old intoxicated women getting a citation with a possibility of a DUI after she drove her car through a garage, causing tens of thousand of dollars in damage. At about 10:30 am a woman missed a turn at the intersection of 4100 south and 4400 west and crashed into a garage. The woman was given a breathalyzer test and blood was drawn for further testing. Police were unsure Saturday if she was impaired on drugs or alcohol. She was arrested for investigation of DUI but issued a citation at the scene and released instead of being taken to jail. Police did not release her name Saturday.
We are glad no one was hurt and want to let anyone who thinks about getting behind the wheel after drinking that they should call a cab or friend.
